Hi Sobriety

Terms of use

Last updated 21 October 2026.

These terms apply when you use the Hi Sobriety app and website, provided by The Protagonist Group Ltd. By using Hi Sobriety, you agree to them.

Who it’s for

Hi Sobriety is for adults aged 18 and over who want to stop or take a break from drinking alcohol, for whatever reason.

Not medical advice

Hi Sobriety offers general information and encouragement. It isn’t a medical service and doesn’t replace advice from a doctor or other health professional. Health information in the app describes what’s typical; your own experience may differ.

Stopping drinking suddenly can be dangerous for people who drink heavily every day. If that might apply to you, or you’ve had shakes, sweats, hallucinations or seizures when stopping before, speak to your GP or call NHS 111 before you stop. In an emergency, call 999.

Your information

Hi Sobriety has no accounts. What you enter stays on your phone, so if you lose your phone or delete the app without a backup, it can’t be recovered. Packs can always be restored from the store you bought them from.

Packs and payments

The timer, savings stats and the first three health milestones are free. Packs unlock the daily course and the rest of the health milestones. Members with a smaller pack can upgrade to a longer one. Each pack and add-on is a one-off purchase, not a subscription, and is made through the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Once bought, a pack stays unlocked for as long as Hi Sobriety is available, and you can restore it on other devices signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account. Purchases can’t be moved between Apple and Google devices.

Fair use

Please don’t copy, resell or republish the course content, try to get around the purchase system, or misuse the app or website.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Hi Sobriety accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can’t be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If we make important changes, we’ll tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions? Email hello@hisobriety.app.
